Looking forward to Grillin' @ Elk Park

I'm closing on my townhouse on Jun 9th. I have visions of BBQ on the patio with a little fire pit action thrown in for smore-luvin.

Here's a pic of the patio...doesn't it cry out for grillin & chillin. After some clean up and plantings this will be an awesome out door room. Fingers crossed that my "crops" survive. My tomatoes, snap peas and peppers are looking a little sickly but come late July I'm hoping for a bumper crop. That way I'll have some delicious salads to acompany my grilled goodies.


I definitely plan on steeling this fire pit idea from the youngsters over at This Young House. And I will have a dog (though slightly larger) lounging in the background just as John and Sheri do. So thrilled about the firepit...it will cost less than $30 to build.

The pit will allow me to get more use out of the patio on those chilly days/nights in fall or spring. Did I mention smores?
